Then it's plain sailing all the way. Then rise high on Thomas Telford's 'stream in the sky', the amazing Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which rises 126 feet high! Not for the faint-hearted but definitely worth the views. Black Prince Holidays has bases at Chirk and Stoke on Trent in Cheshire, and Stoke Prior in Worcestershire.

The Duchess 2:1 (54ft long) I is ideal for a couple.

The Duchess 4:2 (60ft) has two double bed cabins, ideal for four.

The Countess 8:5 (70ft) has three double bed cabins which can accommodate up to 10 people.

The Duchess 4:2 costs from £610 per week at the beginning of March to £1,080 per week in July and August.

The Countess 8:5 ranges from £870 to £1,450 for the same period while the Duchess 2:1 ranges from £530 to £880. Costs are per boat irrespective of the number of passengers.

The price includes linen, diesel fuel, gas, pets, car parking, buoyancy aids and VAT.
